EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple yet remarkable healing system that reduces the stress that underlies much disease. It works on a variety of health issues, emotional problems, and performance issues, even those that have been resistant to other methods. It is often referred to as “emotional acupuncture”.

EFT was developed by Gary Craig. His premise is that “the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system”. EFT consists of tapping on a set of meridian points on the body while saying or repeating different words or sentences that correspond to what the person’s problem is. While some EFT practitioners stick very closely to Gary Craig’s original EFT, others have adapted, transformed, enhanced and/or added slight variances to it. It is now commonly referred to Meridian Tapping Techniques (MTT).

EFT can be learned and applied rapidly, which has contributed to its popularity among millions of people. It is used by adults as well as children, can be used on animals and can be done in person, skype or over the phone.

“Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their primary healing tools …. as it is for me.” Eric Robins, MD
